Failing to comply with the Corporate Transparency Act or willfully providing false information may result in civil and criminal penalties. Violating the CTA may result in a daily $500 fine until the violation is corrected (with a maximum penalty of $10,000). Criminal penalties may result in imprisonment for up to two years.
