Designating stock ownership in EntityKeeper is a straightforward process that helps ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance. Before assigning ownership, you'll need to create a stock or unit type to define the equity structure. Once the stock type is set up, you can easily allocate shares or units to the appropriate stakeholders.
- On the entity overview page, click the Ownership tab as noted below.
- Locate the desired stock type and click the plus icon to the left of "Add Stock Allocation".
- Using the modal window, select the desired buyer (entity or individual) and enter the number of shares, price, and date.
Note: You may add a new entity or personnel if you are unable to find the desired buyer.
- Once you are finished, click Save!
